Gerald Nissan of Naperville is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. As a skilled technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles, ensuring they operate at their best performance levels. While prior Nissan experience is preferred, it is not required, as we value a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality service above all.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and more.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Communicate with Service Advisors to explain repairs and maintenance requirements.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and services provided.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and trends through continuous learning and training opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician or similar coursework.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• A commitment to upholding high-quality work standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving automotive technologies.
• Relevant certifications or degrees in automotive technology are a plus.
