BDC Auto Sales Consultant

Department: Business Development Center (BDC) / Sales

Reports To:  Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The BDC Auto Sales Consultant is responsible for handling inbound and outbound sales calls, internet inquiries, and appointment setting for prospective car buyers. This role plays a critical part in generating showroom traffic, supporting the dealership’s sales goals, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to internet, phone, and live chat inquiries using email, text, and calls.
  • Set appointments for sales team with qualified leads.
  • Follow up with unsold leads, missed appointments, and prior customers.
  • Maintain a detailed customer database (CRM) with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Understand vehicle inventory and be able to promote specific models or offers.
  • Work with sales managers and consultants to support and increase dealership sales.
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly appointment and sales goals.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Handle all customer communications professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner.
  • Perform outbound campaigns for promotions, recalls, or events as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in automotive sales, BDC, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills; familiarity with CRM software a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay range for this position: $70,000-$100,000
  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and education
