Automotive Technician – Entry Level

Did you take automotive classes in high school or attended a technical college for automotive related studies? Then we are interested in talking with you to see if you would be a good fit for our team, even if you have never worked in a shop. Do you have no formal auto training, but you do have relevant work experience at an express oil change facility or other auto shop? Then we want to speak with you.

What we offer:

• Union scale for this position currently starts at $17.00 per hour
• Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and education
• Available Benefits include medical insurance, dental Insurance, vision Insurance, life insurance, pension retirement, & more.
• Paid time off after 90 days of employment
• Vacation up to three weeks per year depending upon years of service
• Ancillary supplemental products available

What you need to have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License with no more than one ticket in 2 years
• Good work ethic, attendance, & punctuality
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions or commands
• The ability to pass a background check
• Interest in a long term career working in automotive
• General knowledge of vehicles and hand tools

What you’ll be doing:

• Oil changes
• Tire Rotations
• Filter Replacements
• Fluid Services
• Multi Point Inspections
• New vehicle dealer preparation
• Learning while getting paid
